Hey, I’m AlyssA.
I started my photography journey in the food industry, actually. My goal was to make you feel something by just looking at a bowl of pasta-not just hunger, but emotion. Before I knew it I was getting hired to shoot couples, families, and eventually weddings. In two words my photography style is organic and candid. Capturing love is something I’ll never be sick of whether it be parents and their kids, or a couple on their way to tying the knot. Photography is my way to translate when words aren’t enough and I treat every shoot as a story that I’m here to tell.
On my editing style:
I got my first film camera in 2016 and I was obsessed with shooting film. I still am- the tones you get with film are so imperfectly perfect. Even those blurry shots that you swore your hand was steady for. Now when shooting digitally, I very much emulate/am inspired by film when editing.
